Kim Kardashian & Kanye West
When I found out that these two were a couple, I was very happy. I love Kanye West and I like Kim too because she is a good fashion designer. I definately bashed her name when I found out she and Kris Humphries were getting a divorce only after 72 days of marriage. I thought it was unfair that so much money was spent on a "fake marriage". I knew it wasn't going to last long, because Kris is young and he is more focused on his basketball career. Kanye will appear on the new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but Kim said ,"I will not be taking bubble baths with Kanye on television." I am glad that she is deciding to keep her relationship away from television, unlike her sister Khloe. I believe that is the reason why Khloe decided to cancel the show, because it was interferring with her relationship. I hope Kim and Kanye find happiness and that they actually date each other for awhile, before possibly getting married.
What Has Influenced Me?
I would say that death has influenced me to hold on to the people that are still living and to make sure that every moment with them counts. After the death of my dad six years ago, I became closed off by not letting anyone get near me or express the feelings I had inside. Eventually, I learned that I couldn't hold bottle up my feelings any longer. Since doing so, I have become a healthier person and I actually spend time with my friends instead of sitting at home. I had a falling out with one of my good friends from high school and it sucked because she and I used to be really close. This time, I could prevent the worse from happening and I started to reach out to her even when she probably didn't want to hear from me. Now her and I are a lot closer. This weekend we are going out to celebrate her 19th birthday and I am so grateful that I still have her in my life.

Texas Here I Come!
Over the summer, my mom and I are traveling to San Antonio, Texas to visit my aunt. She has been begging for us to visit and now it is the perfect time. I don't think this vacation will be as exciting as the one I took to Michigan and Cedar Point, but I believe traveling anywhere outside of Belleville is good. I am slightly nervous about traveling there because my mom and I will be on an Amtrak train instead of on the road. I have never been on an airplane before, but one day I will travel on one for my next vacation. I heard that it can get really hot in Texas, so I am afraid that I will melt if I try going outside. I will be staying there for a few weeks, which means I will have tons of time to shop and take pictures. One thing that I do not look forward to doing in Texas is eating any of their candy. My aunt brought a lollipop from Texas a few years ago and suggested that I try it. She told me that it was spicy and hott, but my taste buds were not prepared. After one lick, I couldn't take it anymore and was more than happy to toss the sucker into the trash.
Where Are My Comments?!?
I have been commenting on like every blog post that I found interesting but when I click "publish comment" button, I was not able to see the post I just made. I have no idea what is going on but I do not like it! It seems that I can comment on my own blog posts, but for some reason not others. :(

Club 15 Experience
This past weekend, my best friend and I decided to go out to a club in St. Louis. Lexi was used to going out to the club with her boyfriend and now that we were both single and needed to have fun. Earlier in the day, there was a huge hail storm that caused a lot of damage and even killed someone in St. Louis. After hearing what happened, I wasn't sure if I still wanted to go since I was going to be the one driving really late at night to a place I've never been to. I knew I was probably going to get lost, but I didn't think I was going to get lost six times. I even went the wrong way on a one-way street. Lexi and I finally arrived to the club around 12am. We were both just standing around observing everyone at first, but as time progressed we began to loosen up. There was an open bar and of course a few people got a little drunk. It was somewhat funny when I saw someone drunk trying to dance, but it was so funny when I saw a man puking on himself. Overall, the club was pretty cool. It is definitely not something that I would do every weekend, but it was fun.
Stress of Finals
Finals started this week, I had my math and social pysch final today. Unfortunately, I waited until last minute to sit down and study for both, so I ended up going to bed last night at 3am. This morning I woke up to my alarm going off at 6:30, but I didn't roll out of bed until after 7am. I ended up almost being late to my first final, because I tried cramming info before getting ready. After taking my liberal arts final, I walked out of the room feeling pretty confident that I did my best on it. Thankfully, our teacher allowed us to have a notecard to use on the final. I didn't feel so confident about my social pysch final after finishing. Psychology is a really hard class, expecially when your teacher bases the exams on what was in the textbook more than what was talked about in class. I only read one of the chapters that the exam was over, so I'm pretty sure I didn't do so good. All I know is that I have at least a high C in that class, which is good enough for me. I'm so glad that I only have one more test left to take and a presentation for English left. I am ready for summer to get here! Good luck everyone on finals and make sure you eat breakfast before taking your final.

Am I Ugly? Videos
I read an article on Yahoo about young girls posting videos of themselves on YouTube asking the world if they were ugly or not? I watched a video of one girl saying that kids pick on her because she has a large forehead and that she can’t get the boy she likes to show her some interest. The article talked about how some comments gave advice by saying that the girl was pretty and that she just needs to focus on school. Other comments that I read weren’t so nice. I think that these girls need to develop self-confidence and not try to seek out approval of strangers because there’s always going to be someone out there in the world who doesn’t find you attractive.
Hunger Games Movie Review
I recently saw the movie Hunger Games over the weekend and I enjoyed it. I was slightly disappointed because I read the book first and there were a few scenes that I felt they should have included. I liked the actors that were in the movie. Peeta was just like how I imagined him to be. He’s reserved and is good with having the audience fall in love with him. There was one part in the movie where he was being interviewed and was telling jokes that had the audience constantly smiling. Gale was perfect in my opinion. He’s hot but not too hot. I was hoping he would have had a bigger role in this movie, because in the book it talked a lot about how he and Catnis would go out hunting together and I didn’t see them together at all during the movie. I like how the movie portrayed the Capitol people. The bright, intense hair styles and make up were just right. I’m hoping that the next movie will be 3x better.
Extreme Punishment
In Alabama, 2 women were charged in the death of a 9-year-old girl forced to run. According to the article, Savannah Hardin died after being forced to run for 3 hours as punishment for having lied to her 46-year-old grandma about eating candy bars. The girl’s 27-year-old stepmom called police around 7pm, telling them she was having a seizure and was unresponsive. An autopsy report showed that the girl was severely dehydrated and had a very low sodium level. How can a parent punish their child so extremely for eating candy?! There’s nothing wrong with eating a snack once in a while. I don’t think this was the first time she was punished for something like this to where she had to lie about it. It is just really disturbing that nowadays parents are murdering their own children.

Quote Assignment:
"The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships" - Anthony Robbins
Anthony Robbins is a self-help author and a motivational speaker that has become well known through his books and infomercials.
I chose this quote b/c it is very useful and it made me think anout all the different types of relationships I have and the ones that I don't have anymore. I used to have a great relationsjop with my friend Lexi, whom I have know since our freshman year in high school. As time went on, we began to grow apart and now we hardly communicate. She got engaged to her boyfriend and found a job while I've found a job as well and travel back and forth to see my boyfriend. I think my life would be somewhat better if I still had her around to listen to all my problems and vice versa. This quote can apply to just about every relationship you have whether or not it is with a friend, family memeber, etc... If you have a good, healthy relationship with the people you surround yourself with then your life will mimic that.

Hunger Games Movie
I've been waiting for this movie to come out and I have less than a month to wait. I was telling one my co-workers that he needs to read the books first to appreciate the plot just in case the movie doesn't cover everything the book does. The books are kinda lengthy but it is filled with tons of death and violence. I think this is going to be a must see movie, so I'm hoping that the movie is just as fantastic as the book is. If you haven't read The Hunger Games.. I suggest looking into it because once you start reading it you might not be able to put it down.
New Eddie Murphy Movie
I just saw the preview for Eddie Murphy's new movie and apparently it is going to be his first movie where he really doesn't talk in? From what I've seen I think it is going to be somewhat of a good movie. A man named Jack McCall (Eddie Murphy) uses his words to lie so he can get around around stressful situations.
Jack and the tree are connected and everytime he speaks the leaves of the tree falls off. So somehow he has to make it through the movie without saying much or he'll die. It sounds interesting so I guess I'm going to have to see for myself.

Valentine's Day
This past Valentine's Day was really special because it was the first one I spent with someone else other than my mother. I've never had a boyfriend around Valentine's Day and now that I did I had to be with him. My boyfriend Gage and I have been together for about a year and he lives a little over 2 hours away near Bloomington, IL so i decided to visit him over the weekend. I had someone cover my shift on Mon. and skipped a few classes on Tues, b/c being with him was more important. lol Unfortunately, I couldn't skip the whole day so I had a long drive back to Swic. Before I left, he gave me this cute braclet with a whole bunch of charms on it and some chocolate. It was the best Valetine's Day I have ever had.
Top 5 Television Shows
1) Adventure Time
2) Biggest Loser
3) Vampire Diaries
4) One Tree Hill
5) Office
One Tree Hill is a show that I’ve been watching almost since it began. It’s filled with lots of drama and I could relate to it when I was high school, because all teens worried about what they were going to do after graduation at some point. Besides the drama, there are a lot of sexy white guys in the show that makes me enjoy the show even more.
It was hard just narrowing down to just 5 shows, but now you have an insight on some of the shows that I enjoy watching.
2) Biggest Loser
3) Vampire Diaries
4) One Tree Hill
5) Office
Adventure Time is about a boy named Finn and his talking dog Jake, who fight monsters and save their friends. What makes this show so hilarious is that everything is so random. The last episode I watched was when Finn had hurt his foot and Jake hired 5 clown nurses to take care of them. Finn was reading in his magical book that Cyclops tears could heal any ailment. One clown was said, “Finn, your toes need lots and lots of smoochies,” in this weird, creepy voice. Finn flipped out and when she started licking his toes and jumped out of bed screaming, “There must be another way!” Later on in the episode, Finn got depressed once he realized how crazy he was acting and started singing in auto tune.
I love the Biggest Loser. I’ve seen every episode since the show started and I find it entertaining to watch. I enjoy seeing people who really need help work for what they want. I think the show is somewhat inspirational because the viewers watching at home can get inspiration from the contestants on the ranch and lose the weight at home. I also enjoy watching makeover week because you get to see just how close the contestants are to obtaining their goal.
Vampire Diaries is a show that came on the air after the first Twilight movie and I think that it is one of the best vampire/supernatural shows on TV. It is currently in its third season and things are getting crazy. There is a hybrid named Clause, who is both a werewolf and a vampire. He’s currently trying to build a hybrid army, but he can’t do it without the blood of a girl named Alaina. Alaina is a human, who is in love with her vampire ex- boyfriend named Stefan. She also has feelings for his brother Damon. It’s a show that you have to watch from the beginning to really understand. So if you’re into vampires, werewolves, and love triangles this might be the show for you.
The Office is another show that I love because it is unpredictable. I like that each episode is something new and that if you happen to miss one weekly episode, you don’t really get lost. I didn’t like Steve Carell as the boss as much as I did Will Farell. He is one of my favorite actors and when I heard he was going to be the temporary boss I was thrilled. Unfortunately, he didn’t last very long on the show because on one episode he broke both of his legs trying to dunk.
It was hard just narrowing down to just 5 shows, but now you have an insight on some of the shows that I enjoy watching.

"I am From..."
I am from a white refrigerator.
From a black television and a clean, silver sink.
I am from a cozy, animal free, two bedroom apartment complex.
I am from the nectar of honey bees.
The red roses whose long gone limbs I remember as if they were my own.
I’m from Christmas dinners and long legs.
From my mother and deceased father.
I’m from weird laughs and watching vampire tv shows and from being a fan of Kobe Bryant.
I’m from being nice to others and make good grades in school and from the song “I’m a Little Tea Pot.”
I’m from family reunions.
I’m from Centreville, IL and Native American/African-American descent.
From apple pie and sweet potatoes.
From a drug trafficking relative with a troubled childhood.
From framed photos of newborn nephews on the wall.
