Extreme Punishment

In Alabama, 2 women were charged in the death of a 9-year-old girl forced to run. According to the article, Savannah Hardin died after being forced to run for 3 hours as punishment for having lied to her 46-year-old grandma about eating candy bars. The girl’s 27-year-old stepmom called police around 7pm, telling them she was having a seizure and was unresponsive. An autopsy report showed that the girl was severely dehydrated and had a very low sodium level. How can a parent punish their child so extremely for eating candy?! There’s nothing wrong with eating a snack once in a while. I don’t think this was the first time she was punished for something like this to where she had to lie about it. It is just really disturbing that nowadays parents are murdering their own children.

  2. I heard about this story and couldn't believe it! I just can't imagine a parent being so cruel to their child over something so stupid. Not to mention seeing your child suffer and die right in front of you as you just stand there and watch. It's a really sad story :(
